Introduction
PIACINI Business Advisory (“Piacini,” “we,” “us”) provides business advisory and strategic consulting services for companies entering, operating and growing in the United States. This website is informational and is used to receive inquiries from prospective clients.
In this policy, “Piacini”, “we” and “us” refer to the business that operates this website under the PIACINI brand. We take a deliberately narrow approach to personal information: we collect what is needed to understand an inquiry and to keep the website working, and not more.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to information collected through this website, including any contact or qualification form published on it, and to information you send us in response to that contact.
It does not apply to information exchanged inside a client engagement. Once an engagement is in place, the confidentiality and data provisions of the applicable engagement agreement govern that information, and those provisions control over this policy to the extent they conflict.
It also does not apply to websites operated by other organizations, including any site you reach from a link here.
Information you may provide
This website has two kinds of form. You decide what to share; neither form accepts file uploads.
Qualification form (general inquiry). It collects the following; every field is required:
- Name
- Company
- Title or role
- Email address
- Phone number
- Country
- Company website, or an indication that the company has no website
- Annual revenue or company-size band — a range, not a figure
- Main objective — a category you select
- Timeline — a range you select
- Business context — a free-text description of your situation
Assessment request forms (U.S. Market Entry Assessment and Independent Opportunity Assessment). They collect the following; the company website and the questions about materials are optional, and the other fields are required:
- Full name
- Business email address
- Phone / WhatsApp
- Company
- Company website
- What you are evaluating — a category you select, such as expanding your own company, an acquisition, a franchise, a partnership, a distribution or licensing arrangement
- Your role in the decision — a category you select
- Approximate capital, investment or budget associated with the decision — a range, not a figure
- Decision timing — a range you select
- Description of what you are evaluating — free text
- For opportunities presented by a third party: whether you have received materials about the opportunity and of what kind (for example, a presentation, financial projections or a Franchise Disclosure Document). You only indicate the type of material; no documents are submitted through the website.
Assessment forms also record automatically which assessment is being requested, based on the page where the form was completed.
You may also send us information by email or in a conversation that follows your first inquiry. Before sending anything sensitive, please read the note on confidential information below.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this website, limited technical information is generated in the ordinary course of serving pages. That typically includes your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the time of your visit. Some of this is recorded by the hosting infrastructure as part of running and securing the site.
Where a form is submitted, the website captures basic attribution alongside it: the referring page, the landing page, and campaign parameters in the URL such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term, as well as the gclid click identifier when present. Attribution is submitted with the form to help us understand how inquiries reach us. It is not used to build a profile of you.
The stored inquiry record also holds a small amount of technical information kept for spam prevention and system integrity: your browser's user-agent string, and a salted, irreversible hash of your IP address. The stored inquiry record does not contain your raw IP address.
How information is used
We use the information described above to:
- read and respond to your inquiry
- assess whether the situation you describe is a fit for how Piacini works
- continue a business conversation you have started with us
- organize, summarize and qualify assessment requests in our internal record of business opportunities
- operate, secure, maintain and improve the website
- understand, in aggregate, how the website is found and used
- keep records appropriate to running a business
- comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our terms
Requests submitted through the assessment forms may be reviewed with the help of AI-assisted analysis provided by OpenAI (ChatGPT / OpenAI services). Used internally, this analysis helps us summarize the request, organize its initial qualification, identify missing information, prepare questions for a discovery conversation, flag points that need attention or carry risk, and suggest an internal next step. OpenAI does not make decisions about you or your request: the output is an internal aid only, and the decision to respond, continue the conversation or propose an engagement is always made by a person at Piacini.
We do not use website information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Analytics and measurement
This website uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4, both provided by Google, to measure how the site is used. Measurement is limited to aggregate usage and interaction events such as page views, calls-to-action, service-path selections, language switching, and inquiry-form starts and completions.
Google Consent Mode is implemented with all storage categories denied by default. Until a consent action grants analytics storage, Google Analytics receives no analytics cookies or identifiers and operates without them. A visitor-facing consent interface is deployed on every page of this website. Analytics storage remains denied until you grant analytics consent, and returns to denied if you reject or change your choice.
Form field contents are not intentionally transmitted to analytics. The qualification selections made in the inquiry form are not sent to Google Analytics, and no name, email address, telephone number, company, job title, country, website address or free-text business context is included in any measurement event.
Contact and qualification forms
Form submissions are processed by first-party code running on this website's own server. There is no external form-processing service: your submission is transmitted over HTTPS to piaciniadvisory.com and handled there.
A valid inquiry is stored on the server, outside the public web root, so that it is not reachable through the website. A notification is then sent to Piacini over an authenticated connection to our own mailbox at contact@piaciniadvisory.com, using the email service provided with our hosting.
Requests submitted through the assessment forms are also recorded, over an authenticated server-to-server connection, in a private Google Sheets spreadsheet held in Piacini's Google account and used as an internal record of opportunities. That record receives the fields you provide, the date received, the assessment type, the source of the inquiry and the campaign and landing-page parameters; it does not receive your IP address or browser identifier. The spreadsheet is not public.
Submitting a form does not create an advisory or consulting engagement, and does not by itself make you a client. That distinction is set out in our Terms of Use and Disclaimer.
Business communications
We use the contact details you provide to reply to you and to continue the conversation you started. Where appropriate, we may also send occasional business communications that are relevant to the interest you expressed.
Submitting the form is not blanket consent to marketing. You can ask us to stop sending business communications at any time, by replying to any message you receive from us or by writing to contact@piaciniadvisory.com. We will act on that request, though we may still contact you about an inquiry already in progress or a matter we are legally required to raise.
This website does not collect consent for SMS or text-message marketing, and we do not send it.
Service providers
We use a small number of third parties to run this website and our correspondence. As deployed today, they are:
- Hostinger — website hosting, server-side storage of submitted inquiries, and the email service used to receive form notifications and correspondence at our own domain.
- Google — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 are used to operate the measurement described above, so Google receives your IP address and browser information as part of those requests.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces used on this website are loaded from Google's font service, so your browser requests those files from Google and Google receives your IP address and browser information as part of that request.
- Google (Google Sheets and Google Apps Script) — the internal record of assessment requests, held in a private spreadsheet in Piacini's Google account and populated over an authenticated connection from our server.
- OpenAI — provider of the AI-assisted review of assessment requests described under “How information is used” (ChatGPT / OpenAI services). It receives the content of the request in order to produce a summary and qualification notes for human review; it does not decide whether Piacini responds or takes on an engagement. OpenAI's handling of the information it receives is governed by OpenAI's own terms and policies.
Providers acting for us are expected to handle information only for the purposes we specify. No other third party receives information from this website at present, and we have not named vendors here that are not in use.
Data retention
Inquiries and assessment requests submitted through the forms, the attribution information stored with them and the corresponding entry in the internal opportunities spreadsheet are retained for up to 24 months from the date of submission.
We may keep information beyond that period only where there is a legitimate business or legal reason to do so — record-keeping, dispute resolution or tax obligations — or where a business relationship has formed and the information relates to it.
Deletion is currently carried out manually. There is no automated deletion process. Technical records generated by the hosting infrastructure are kept for shorter periods, consistent with how our hosting provider operates. You can ask us to delete information you submitted; see the choices section below.
Security
We take reasonable measures appropriate to a business of our size to protect information submitted through this website, including transport encryption for the site and access controls on the accounts that receive inquiries.
No website, transmission method or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is one reason we ask you not to send highly sensitive or confidential material through a general website inquiry.
International processing
Piacini is a United States–focused advisory business. Inquiries frequently come from companies and individuals outside the United States, including Brazil.
If you submit information to us, you should expect that it will be transferred to, stored in and processed in the United States, and possibly in other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws of your own country, and may afford different protections.
We do not claim certification under any international transfer framework. Where a specific transfer mechanism is required for a particular engagement, it is addressed in the agreement for that engagement rather than here.
Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- ask what information about you we hold from a website inquiry
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- ask us to delete information you submitted
- ask us to stop sending business communications
- decline to provide optional form fields, or decline to submit the form at all
- manage cookies through your browser settings
Write to contact@piaciniadvisory.com to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and some information may be retained where we have a legal or legitimate business reason to keep it. We will not treat you differently for exercising these choices.
U.S. state privacy considerations
Several U.S. states have enacted privacy statutes that give residents rights over personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of certain information, and to opt out of sale or of targeted advertising. Whether any particular statute applies to Piacini depends on thresholds and definitions in that law.
Where such a law applies to us and to you, we will honour the rights it gives you. As noted above, we do not sell personal information and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so opt-out rights in those categories have nothing to act on. This section describes our approach. It is not a representation that any specific statute applies to Piacini or that we are certified under it.
Visitors in Brazil
Because much of our audience is Brazilian, we note the following at a high level. Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) gives data subjects rights including confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization or deletion of unnecessary data, portability, information about sharing, and the ability to withdraw consent where processing rests on consent.
Where the LGPD applies to our processing, we will act on requests of that kind. Requests can be sent to contact@piaciniadvisory.com.
Please note that information submitted to us is processed in the United States, as described above. We make no claim of LGPD certification, and whether the law applies to a given interaction is a legal question that depends on the circumstances.
Children's privacy
This is a business-to-business website intended for company owners, executives and other business decision-makers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We do not ask visitors for their age. If you believe a child has submitted information through this website, write to contact@piaciniadvisory.com and we will delete it.
Third-party links
This website may link to websites and resources operated by others. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Their policies, not ours, govern what they collect and how they use it. We suggest reading them before submitting information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, the production stack or applicable law changes. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the effective and last-updated dates appear at the top.
Where a change materially affects how information submitted through this website is handled, we will make that clear rather than relying on a silent revision.
